Chiropractic Adjustment

Chiropractic adjustment, also known as spinal manipulation, is a technique used by chiropractors to correct misalignments or subluxations in the spine and other joints in the body.

During your chiropractic session, the chiropractor applies a controlled, sudden force to the affected joint in order to restore its proper alignment and improve its function. The adjustment may involve a thrusting or twisting motion, and may produce a popping or cracking sound as the joint is realigned.

The goal of chiropractic adjustment is to restore normal joint mobility, alleviate pain, and improve the body's overall function. When a joint is misaligned, it can cause irritation to surrounding nerves, muscles, and tissues, which can lead to pain, stiffness, and other symptoms.

Chiropractic adjustments are typically performed on the spine, but can also be performed on other joints such as the shoulders, hips, knees, and ankles. They are generally safe and effective when performed by a qualified and licensed chiropractor.
